Did anyone else have to see a doctor before having a mirena coil removed?

  What is the appointment for and will they remove it there and then?

  Drs generally have you book an appointment prior to removal to find out why you want it removing, advise how they remove and they'll also give advice of further contraceptives if needed

  You will probably need a second appointment for removal.
