No idea where I am in my cycle

Hello, I stopped taking my pill mid pack last month because me and my partner have decided to try for a baby. I should have finished the pack to so I would know where I should be in my cycle, but stupidly didn't so I had a very short /light withdrawal bleed starting 18th September, but I'm no having what I believe to be ovulation pains? Would that match up with my cycle? And do I count my cycle from the first day of my last AF?
