Should I take a test?

Ok so I've been trying to conceive since coming off the pill last April, I have always had irregular periods so been so hard to track ovulation etc, yesterday I went to the loo and I had a bit of blood in my underwear, but when I wiped there was nothing there, and there's nothing there today, I'm so confused could this be implantation or what?
