Period is super weird this month trying to conceive

We have been trying to conceive for several months now. Each month I get my period it last about 6-7 days. This month on the 18th my period began in the afternoon just light spotting. Around 9-10pm I had horrible cramps and passed one little blood clot, I took some Tylenol to help with the pain; it helped and I haven’t had anymore cramps.  Also, I've barely had anymore bleeding I had extremely light spotting on the 19th barely anything even got on my pad and today there is nothing.... This is unusual for me I normally have a lengthy period. Since I had  cramps, passed a blood clot and the blood was bright red/rustic looking it doesn’t seem like implantation. Has anyone else experienced this and still been pregnant? Or does this just sound like a normal period?
