Negative test but late period! Please advise

Hi, I’m sorry if I’m not doing this right but I’m not sure if I’m supposed to create a new post or find a similar post to comment on... I’m nearly 3 days late for my period and I did a digital pregnancy test this morning and it showed negative. I’m never normally late... how long do I wait to retest and is it common to not show as positive this soon? I keep getting a sicky feeling for the last couple of days and I have a funny cramping/pulling feeling in my lower abdomen. Any advice would help... I am doing crackers over thinking it all

    Thank you I may even wait longer if still no period! I tested positive the day of my missed period with my first pregnancy, I think that’s why I’m stressing about this!
