Positive and then later negative pregnancy test. How?

If it's definitely positive,  like shows up within seconds that it's a positive - not an evaporation line - and then the next test comes back negative. How does that work? What does it mean? Anybody, somebody,  please help? My Dr thinks it's a positive but said I should wait a few days to come see him and test again. Meanwhile,  I'm so anxious!
