TTC since Nov’22 - Any ladies want to journey together?

I’m looking for a community who is TTC around the same duration as I am (I’m about 8 months TTC since Nov’22 being the first month of active trying!)

I’m 30 this year. My husb is slightly older at 39. Both of us have stressful jobs and I think this is probably why we are unsuccessful till today :( bad sleeping habits and overly stressed body! We both don’t smoke or don’t drink excessively.

Is anyone willing to journey together on our TTC journey? Days when I get my AF are the hardest. But I usually get over it that day it comes, and get ready to try again the next month… thankful for a supportive husb who is good with or without kids. (This relieves alot of stress on my end. That he doesn’t necessarily need me to conceive, but he knows I want to be a mother and is always willing to ttc with me :) at least, our good rs is the constant bright spark amidst all the disappointment and sadness every month after realizing we were not successful again.

  • Hey!
TTC since Sept 2022 and would love to follow along on your journey together!
  • Thanks @VikiH1989 and @Jadely for commenting and being willing to join in!! How have you been in this journey and how are you feeling? I follow the proposed ovulation dates via the app but only this month I started doing test ovulation strip and I realized the app’s dates are not the most accurate! Hoping this month will be better with more accurate ovulation days….
  • @Yellowprettypoet I’m 10months into my journey and struggling. Had an AMH blood test done and I have the ovary reserve of a 45 year old so feeling so down since finding this out. Now awaiting a gp appointment for forwarding on to ivf before I’m too late. But going to do ovulation tests this month when I’m off my period, and I’m also taking pregnacare conceive tabs. Being using the Flo app too to try to help which isn’t going very far as of yet. How about you? How are you feeling?
  • Hi all. I hope you don’t mind me joining this forum?
I am also ttc my first, and this is my 3rd cycle ttc. I am due to ovulate on the 12th of July, and really hoping this is the month x
  • @Mybabyjourney I really hope so for you too! I’ve got everything crossed for you! X
  • @VikiH1989 I have my fingers crossed for you!! When is lovely Mother Nature meant to finish for you? X
  • I am currently on my period, due to finish within the next few days. So “ovulation” should be at the weekend according to my cycle on my app, but going to use ovulation sticks this month to see if they will help time my cycle! X

@VikiH1989 I’m going to do the same this month! I’ve also got some pre-seed lube which is meant to be really good! X

This month has been really hard. I decided to start using ovulation strips as well, but I never felt like I got a positive result. When I told my OB about this he said that he doubted I had ovulation issues since I technically have conceived before. (Miscarriage at 7 weeks about six years ago) I’m currently on CD 35 with BFN’s and I’m just feeling defeated and ready to get to the next cycle. I feel like my app I use to track may be off too and that may be part of why we are struggling so much. This next cycle I’m going to use the ovulation strips religiously in hopes that I can get a more accurate time frame. My cycles are irregular and I know that doesn’t help.
  • @Jadely yeah that past few weeks for me has been hard. There’s a new baby in the family and trying to be happy was difficult. I’m just awaiting further GP appointments as I have never conceived, but my cycle is like clockwork, I’m regular every 26-28 days after my final period day, and my periods are only 5 days long. I can’t imagine how hard is it for you with not having regular cycles, as it’s hard for me and I have regular cycles!! I know it’s so hard but try to keep positive, and you’re more than welcome to come on here and have a good rant and moan to me! There has to be some rays of sunshine soon for us! X

Thank you! It’s so relieving in a way to know that we have each other to vent to! 💗

There’s a girl in my office at work that’s quite a few years younger than me and is pregnant. Her and her husband weren’t trying, it just happened. I hear all about everything she’s experiencing every day and I try to stay positive and excited for her. It’s even harder because my partner and I have chosen to stay pretty private with the fact that we’re trying so no one in the office really knows that we’re struggling. It’s always tough when it seems as though it’s happening all around us and not to us for sure!

We will definitely get our sunshine ☀️
  • Yes! It’s so lovely! Especially as it’s hard on you both together too, as you’ll both be feeling deflated, and having someone to vent to without any ties sometimes helps!
Ive not told any of my family just me and my partner know, but I have told my line manager due to having doctor appointments, and she so was lovely as she has been in the same boat so knew exactly how I felt!

That was the same with my cousin, no trying and 23 (10 years younger) and just happened. It is so so difficult. Keep positive girl! I’m here my inbox is always open! I’m looking into reiki too, don’t know if you’ve looked into trying that? X
  • I’ve never heard of reiki, what all do you do exactly?
  • I’m not too sure - it’s all pressure points can be done on hands and feet. But can help with fertility (don’t know if this is cause it’s relaxing and releases stress)  http://www.reikibabies.co.uk/fertility-reiki-treatments/

Hi @Mybabyjourney so happy to have you onboard in this thread. Of course I’m more than willing for you to join! But it has only been 3rd cycle so take it easy and I hope your journey wouldn’t be as long as mine… :) I’m currently at 9th month of TTC… how old are you if I may ask?

Hey @VikiH1989, I am hoping that all will go well for you in your GP appt and also hoping that IVF be a viable option for you! Do let us know how it goes…

I also went to take a fertility test sometime back in Apr23 and everything was tested with results falling in normal range. It consisted of AMH test as well. May I know what’s your test result, and how do we know if that translate into an ovary reserve of what age? Mine is around 25 pmol/l…
  • @Yellowprettypoet thank you I will let you know indeed!

My result was 4.42pmol/l and I just found an age range group on a website. This one https://www.manchesterfertility.com/blog/what-your-amh-levels-mean-understanding-and-interpreting-your-amh-test-result/

Can I ask what else they tested you for please? X

Hi @Jadely! I hope you’ll have luck with the ovulation test strips!! I started this month but my results are very odd. I only had 1 day (CD16) where the two lines were equally dark. In total did for 8 days, from CD10 to CD17. Felt like ovulation came and go like so briefly?? Haha I dunno how it works since it is my first time but I thought I will get at least 2 days of positives… oh well anyway… my cycles are usually super regular, but no luck till now. It’s really harder on you where your periods are irregular! Hang in there and I hope we will all get our BFPs… ☀️
