things not running smoothly

Hi all havent posted much lateley as been in and out of hospital, went for scan and baby seemed to be losing fluid so dr wasnt happy this was at 32 wks had to have steriod injections incase they needed to deliver her much earlier than planed (24th june) ,
had that done then was told i had to have iron infusion which is via a drip then had a tempreture and infection in my blood form losing water so was kept in for 2 days ,
was let home only to go back next day with a dr comeing towards me with a spectrum and a torch to have a look inside me (sorry tmi) i wanted ground to swalloew me up wasnt nice no dignaty left anywhere ,
anyway been on very strong antibioctic not allowed to do anything really have to have blood taken 3 times a week and be checked daily if infection goes up to 50 (its 22.5 now) then willl be taken in and baby be taken out ,
so far she is ahppy but my body isnt coping 2 well i guess its not surprising as i've now been pregnant for nearly 2 yaers!!!!!!!!!

felt very depressed when they let me home for a few days feel in total limbo really dont want baby born 2 early she is already coming 2 wks early at 3 wks he is now hoping we can keep her in there for another 2 wks if possible i', 34 wks today so she really needs some more cooking time she'd have to go special baby care if she came now as babies born 34 35 wks dont feed very well so i'm trying my best to keep her in my tummy.
there more concerend about my health my consultant isnt risking anything and as u all know this is becomming very stressful when i was in hospital my youngest son whos 8 wouldnt come and see me as all his memories are of charlie dying he thoght same was happeniong again , i'm so scared justy want hewr to be healthy and not to early ....

sorry to moan just needed to get it off my chest feeling quite low at the minute charlie would of been 9 months this week just gone and now evrything seems up in the air with this babay i'm panicing ...
anyway feel better now for sayng it take care girls love victoria xx

  • Hi Victoria, so sorry that you're poorly, sounds like you've certainly been through it haven't you. I suppose you will just have to go with what the specialists say. No one wants their baby in the SCBU but if it means she will be safer there, try to just keep telling yourself that. I know you must be worried sick at the moment, and my heart goes out to you. My OH's sisters son was born over 3 wks early and he didn't need any help with his breathing or feeding, he was fine, so you never know. Just remember that you are being well looked after and you and baby's safety are the most important thing.
I would be panicking aswell so I totally understand. I hope your infection stays under control and she can stay in your tummy for as long as possible.
Take care, thinking of you, Luv Kathryn xxx
  • Hi Victoria,
I'm sorry you're going through a hard time at the moment, these situations don't help when you've already been through the worst possible scenario with Charlie. If you have one thing on your side it's that the docs & midwifes are looking out for you and you're being monitored. I must admit i would feel more secure being in hospital so you know they are right there if you needed them but then it sounds like your son is also suffering. I know my son was really affected when we lost Ewan and he would probably be reacting the same way as your son is. My little Ewan would be 9 months now had he survived, or 6 months if he'd arrived on time, there's always going to be something or a milestone to remind us of our Angels. I hope they carry on looking after you and as for baby "HANG ON IN THERE FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS"!!! Take care xx
  • thanks girls , today infection level has gone down which is good but still very anemic even tho i had an iron infusion which is a pain but pleased infection level has gone down a little x
  • Hi,

sorry to hear your having such a hard time. As the other girls say, it cant be at all easy 'not to worry'. Glad to see your infection levels are coming down. I was born at 35 weeks and didnt have any problems other than struggiling to maintain a regular body heat. Fingers crossed things stabalise for a few more weeks... will be thinking of you xxx
  • Oh I am so sorry you're having such a hard time of it ATM. Going through all that would be worrying in any pregnancy so I know what with Charlie so much on your mind that you must be having one hell of a time. You are strong and you will be ok, you've got one gorgeous guardian angel looking over the two of you and you are a top priority to the medical team so will be looked after.
My cousin was born at 24weeks and I'll tell you what he's a bloomin' big n healthy 22yr old now with no health problems whatsoever. Whatever happens you will be in good hands, stay strong, think positive and this WILL be ok x
