Hi. I am 6-8 weeks. I think I'm having twins. I just have "the feeling". I have two kids. 4yrs & 2yrs. And I never showed until I was about 4-5 months pregnant. Now Im pregnant with my 3rd baby or babies. I haven't seen the DR yet. Since I just found out a few days ago but I know Im around 6-8 weeks pregnant. Anyways, I brought pair of shorts 2wks ago and now I can't even fit in em'. At the time when I brought the shorts, I did not know I was pregnant. And Now I can't even fit in em'. My boyfriend thinks Im having twins because I am showing and my boobs are HUGE!! And I just eat every hour or so I'd eat a big snack like I was craving. I crave for ICE CREAM with APPLE CRISP and Gold Fish etc. It just not how I usually eat before I was pregnant!!! Oh and My boyfriend side of the families has twins and My side of the families has twins. Could there be a chance Im pregnant with TWINS!?!?!
I'm 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant with twins. I knew from day one there was more than one baby. I had a positive pregnancy test 2 weeks before I was even due on. My boobs were hurting and the sickness was bad. I was sleeping more than normal too. I had my first scan at 6 weeks which showed 2 sacs but only one with a heart beat. I had to go back to have another scan 2 weeks later which then showed 2 sacs with 2 babies and both had heard beats and also same size. I started showing at 4 weeks. None of my clothes fit me hence why I'm now in maternity clothes. There are no twins in mine or my partners families. These are babies 7 and 8 for me. My eldest is 18 and youngest is 4. I agreed with my partner that we should plan one more baby, I was no where near expecting to be having twins. We are really happy now after the shock haha. Due in February but we are looking at having our babies 3 to 4 weeks early.
hello im 5 weeks pregnant and im already showing my boobs are huge and swollen so bad odd cause i didnt show with my first one until i was 4 months pregnant does that mean im having twins ? twins do run in my family on my dad side my uncle had tripletts 11 years ago and the father of my child is a twin hisself if anyonehas had this experience or knows anything please get back with me im worried i might have twins ahhhhh ..........
you will always show earlier in second or more pregnancies but there is bloating and water retention to consider also,it doesnt mean your having twins,the only way to find out is a scan in a few weeks time
My daughter is pregnant for the second time. A sonogram at 8 weeks pregnant revealed she is carrying twins. At that time, she was informed there is always the chance of one twin vanishing during the 1st trimester. There's a medical term for this, it's called Vanishing Twin Syndrome. She's 13 weeks pregnant now & had another sonogram to determine if she's still carrying twins. I'm happy & excited to report, she is definitely having twins!
She wasn't sick when she was pregnant with her first child, but she's has been really ill this pregnancy. I don't think her vomiting has anything to do with carrying twins though. I have noticed her breast began getting huge rather quickly... this didn't happen with her first pregnancy.
Twins have been born on my side of the family. Remember, the father has nothing to do with a twin pregnancy. They determine the sex of the baby/babies, not the number of babies. My daughter's husband is an identical twin, but he had nothing to do with my daughter getting pregnant with twins. Also I might add, identical twins do not run in families, only fraternal twins. Identical twins is a random act of nature, one egg separates into two, thus creating two babies.
I think the only true way to know if you're actually pregnant with twins, is by sonogram.
I already have a 2yr old daughter and recently i've had 2 MCs also. However, now I am 10 weeks pregnant with my second child. This pregnancy feels so different. From 6 weeks i've had this overwhelming feeling that we're having twins. i don't know why, there are no twins in mine or my husband's family but i just can't shake this 'hunch' i've got. I seem to have every single pregnancy symptom going but x100. I was sick with my daughter for 16 weeks but this time the sickness is UNREAL. I am sick all day and at night. I've had to be put on anti-sickness medication and i have had to be signed off work. The tiredness is not 'tiredness'..it is extreme fatigue. I have never known anything like it. I am usually a really active/ sporty person but all i do now is lie on the sofa or in bed. I'm in bed for 7pm (as soon as i get tired, i'm sick) and i can easily sleep for 4 hours in the day. I have gone off all food and am struggling to eat/ keep down anything. If my husband is cooking tea i have to go upstairs as i cant stand the smell of anything! my body shape has changed as i've lost lots of weight but at night i've got a real bump developing (it's really quite big for 10 weeks.) My nails and hair have grown loads too (much more than last time) and Something i've especially noticed this time is that i often get a 'racing heart' when i'm not even doing anything. i've had weird twin dreams and a few strange 'twin occurances' ...Of course i'm glad i;m pregnant (and it seems like the baby is doing ok) but i can honestly say this pregnancy has been unbearable. i'm 10.5wks now and it feels like i have been ill for so long, i wish the weeks would hurry up!! Has anyone else felt his terrible/ had similar symptoms and then gone on to have twins?? i have my sonogram booked for 10days time and i know it'll all be worth it when i see the image on the screen but i want to know if its one or two babies now. i'm worried that i've totally 'over-thought' everything now..arrh help!! i'd like to know what others think ....thank you
Update to my earlier post-- My daughter Misty, is now 5 months pregnant with twins... she looks to be 6 months along. She has frequent sonograms scheduled due to carrying twins. During the first sonogram secession with the Ultrasound Specialist, he confirmed she is carrying Identical Twins. She had 2 other sonogram beforehand, but not with a specialist. The Baby Gender Reveal Party that was held on Dec. 6 included a cake that revealed the gender of the babies... I'm happy & excited to report the cake was pink! We are welcoming identical twin baby girls! For those of you not aware, identical twins are either 2 boys or 2 girls.... a boy & girl identical twins would be VERY rare. So far so good-- Baby A is 12 oz. & Baby B is 10 oz. I'm hoping & praying she can carrying them to full term or near full term... my daughter is small, but I still have high hopes. Her doctor said he has had women carry twins to full term.

Hi I found out at my 12 week scan that I'm having twins BIG shock and I still don't think it's sunk in I'm now 15+5, Ididn't really have any symptons, don't get me wrong I've been worse than with my 3 half yr old and got a bump sooner but I just put it down to my being number 2 (my brother once told me after I lost a lot of weight last time not to have 2 because you get fat, how sweet of him!) There's no twins in my family but I've since found out they go back 4 generations on my husbands side, we were told they're none identical so if nothing else we'll be able to tell them apart ha-ha, so we've got 6 months to get our haeds round the shock it's going to be hard when they arrive but we'll get through it with our amazing support network behind us ( I might just get the grandparents to move in with us) hope everything goes well at your scan and can't wait to hear if you'll be joining me on this scary journey x x
Lorraine-- having twins has nothing to do with your husband or his side of the family.... his sperm does not control your eggs. You simply released 2 eggs & both were fertilized. Google fraternal twins & you will find this information to be true. Your husband does however determine the sex of the baby (or babies). Identical twins do not run in the family... it's a random act of nature. It still isn't known why one egg is released & splits to become 2 babies. Fraternal twins are more common, Identical twins are more rare. With fraternal twins, Boy/Girl twin babies are more common, then Girl/Girl, Boy/Boy is the least common.
Give yourself a pat on the back-- you're the reason you're pregnant with twins. When you get over the shock, I'm sure you'll begin realizing how awesome it is. As a teenager, I always hoped I'd have twin girls... twins run in my family. I have 3 kids, but I didn't get my twins. However, I'm super excited to have twin granddaughters! The Ultrasound Specialist determined the sex of my daughter's twins when she was 17 weeks pregnant.
Well I won't be patting myself on the back anytime soon as twins was and still is my worst nightmare!!! I seem to be wasting most of my time with consultants who can't even be bothered to read my file properly or trawling the internet to find cheap pushchairs (as the 3 I already have are now useless!) or maternity clothes as I'm already growing out of mine
Oh my gosh, you are really freaked out about having twins. Try not to stay worried all the time or upset yourself. I know, it's going to be tough. My daughter has a 3 1/2 yr old daughter that she & her boyfriend can't even afford and they irresponsibly got pregnant. My daughter finally told me she is pregnant when she was 12 weeks along. I was angry with her & her boyfriend and I didn't speak to my daughter for 2 weeks... I don't like her boyfriend anyway, so I try not to speak to him at all. After my husband gave me a little talk, I was able to release a little anger & realized what's done is done. Although I'm still irritated with my daughter being so careless, I have come to love the baby girls that I have yet to meet. I've seen sonogram pictures & a sonogram cd. I have to admit, I'm really excited now.
Lorraine, check Ebay for maternity clothes. I have bought some baby items on Ebay for great cheap prices!
I know it's scary.... I'm scared for my daughter... she just moved out of our house & away from me 5 months ago and moved in with her boyfriend. I helped raise my granddaughter.... I was ALWAYS there to help. My daughter is very excited now, but I just know after the twins are born she is going to freak-out and wish she was living with her mother again.
I had to Goggle pushchairs, I didn't know what that means... I'm from the U.S. We call pushchairs, strollers. I'm guessing you may not have a Walmart where you live. Walmart is a department store & grocery store in one, with wonderful low prices on their merchandise. That's where I'm looking to buy infant car seats. I hope you're able to find a nice pushchair at a low price where you live.

hi guys, thanks for your support/ comments. i've just got back from the doctors- i booked an appt as i was at breaking point! she did all the checks and said my blood pressure, urine etc etc is all fine. she didn't seem too concerned that i sleep for 18hours/day and that i've lost a stone in weight in 6 weeks! (i was only 8.5 stone before!) when i was explaining how all my symptoms seem to be to the extreme.....anyhow, she got me to lay down and pressed my stomach in different places and then confirmed it is highly unlikely that it is a twin pregnancy.....is it mad that i am actually disappointed?!!....i had always dreamed of having a huge family (i've always loved children and am now a teacher) and now i think we will only have 2 cos i can;'t imagine going through a pregnancy like this again.its really been terrible and i feel so guilty i have not been able to give my daughter the attention she deserves recently...i ind of liked the idea of having twins- mad i know!!! now i am full of dread. If it is not twins, then why oh why have i been feeling this bad??...i'm now concerned that something is wrong with me or the baby (i've had two previous miscarriages and that is probably leading to my anxiety.) The Dr suggested my scan gets put forward..i'm waiting to hear when...
Dr has called...they want me to go for a scan today!!!!! omg! ....so glad the waiting is over. i just hope everything is ok with the baby...hopefully positive news will follow. keep your fingers crossed for me !
twins are a blessing but i wouldnt wish them on anyone,they are such hard work and you said you havent been giving your daughter the attention she deserves,just think how that would be with an extra 2 babies to look after,so breath a sigh of relife lol try and not worry,some people have extreme sysmptoms

All pregnancies are different, maybe all your unpleasant symptoms will pass after the 1st trimester. Years ago I had a friend that was very ill with her 2nd pregnancy, she too lost a little weight during the 1st trimester... all her unpleasant symptoms eventually went away & she began doing better.

I have the same feeling about twins. It's just a gut feeling. I do have twins in my family but down the line a little. I an 8+5 and already showing. My son will be 3 next month and I didn't show on him until I was 20 weeks. I also have been really ill. Sickness nausea dizziness can barely eat. I have lost 2 stone on the last 3-4 weeks. I have my scan on the 5th so I guess it's just a waiting game now
Nadeyy- All pregnancies are different... could be you're just showing sooner with this pregnancy.... then again, my daughter had a feeling she was pregnant with twins & she is! Please let us know if you're having one or two precious babies.
If you're having one baby, I say you're having a baby girl! If you're pregnant with twins, my prediction may change.

the only way is a scan,symptoms really mean nothing,i had no symptoms at all with my twin pregnancy
