hungry-baby-milk

I was under the impression that Hungry-baby milk is not recommended.  My understanding is that if a baby is hungry and not satisfied after feeds then the feeding regime needs to be increased/changed,  a freind of mine was advised not to use 'hungry-baby milk'

I'm interested in hearing what your thoughts/experiences and the advice you have been given regarding this is.

  • I used hungry baby milk with my first and had no problems.

We needed to use it as otherwise he would take so much milk he would be sick straight after.

  • Hi Mightychumpette,

Out of interest did you get the hungry milk prescribed or was it advised by the health visitor? Did you make the decision to give it yourself. I only ask I have heard mixed messages about feeding it to your LOs and am interested to hear what advise other Mums have been given.

  • I never used it, I increased her solids when she started to get hungrier. I've heard about ladies who've used it no probs and others whos babies have had constipation as a result of using it x
