Finger food ideas
Annabel loves exploring fingers foods, we are often out during the day so she eats a packed lunch. I love to make her an exciting slection of finger foods to try and explore:
Carrots in ginger - roasted carrot sticks/batons roasted with a slice of ginger and oil.
Parsnip chips - roasted pieces of parsnips in rapseed oil.
Sweet potato wedges - Sweet potato cut into easy to hold wedges roasted in rapseed/olive oil or butter.
Pear or apple slices.
Grapes cut length ways, never give whole grapes owing to choking hazard.
Melon wedges.
Pitta bread fingers, with hummus/purees/melted cheese (can be a bit messy!)
Cheese wedges - cheddar cheese cut into easy to eat wedges.
We have some great little pots which I put the treats in, Annie knows now when she sees the pot that she is getting a treat.
