  • Great idea. I've tried a few now. Some where awful as even though I followed the recipe they were too watery, so now I cut the amount of water I add x
  • Deb Tad, I too have had to half the amount of water or liquid I put in the pot. My first beef stew ended with a whole litres worth of beef stock/gravy that I had to skim off the stew and freeze. Oh well you live and you learn, I now put in less. I also coat some of my meat in flour first, or add some tomato puree, or bisto granules depending on the flavour - all of this helps to thicken the sauce! 

  • Yes, I did that with my chicken the other day and made it taste really different. We are becoming experts!
