I've never understood why wanting pain relief seems to be so demonised - it's not as if you get extra points for managing without, or that you're a 'failure' for choosing it. If you'd rather go the natural route, fine, but why not extend the courtesy of letting other mothers make their own choice too without this ridiculous one-upmanship?
