  My 2 year old has done this.. refuaed tea, brushed teeth, got ready for bed and then demanded food. I refused to give her anything and told her she had already brushed her teeth and because she didn't have tea she would have to wait for breakfast. She never had a breakdown or cried she just asked why and I explained that if you don't eat tea then you will just have to wait until morning. She has learnt to have something to eat before bed so she isn't hungry. She learnt a valuable lesson and didn't starve
