Talkback: Should schools dish out 'attendance treats' for kids who don't take time off?

  My daughter's school gives out certificates at an end of school assembly. I don't agree with it for the very reasons you're pointing out - you cannot help getting ill or needing appointments for medical conditions or for days spent in hospital. I am asthmatic and sometimes missed shool due to not being able to breath. My daughter and my son both have asthma. Totally stupid idea.
