    I was lucky. My son was in a toddler bed at 16 mths and never got out. Not once. Not at night not in the mornings. He stayed in the bed until i got up and said he could get out. But had he been a toddler who got out i would have put a child safety gate on the door. He was also not a climber. Thankgod.

    The Google link that let you this article was “Is it illegal to lock your child in their room? - MadeForMums” which is not answered.

    And if anyone can afford to run to the “professionals” every time a parenting question or dilemma comes up, then why don’t they just hire overnight nannies?
