Good news!!

I was diagnosed with cancer shortly after turning 20 and have significant symptoms including very irregular periods and excessive hair growth. At now 28 me and my partner decided to start ttc in October. Being a little naughty I went to my go and told them we had been trying for over 12 months so that we could get some help straight away. Tests at the end of October showed that I was not releasing any eggs and my gp put me on metformin whilst I waited for the further tests and referral to see the specialist. I started taking metformin in November and had my first normal cycle at the beginning of December. I have just found out that I am pregnant!! A test yesterday confirmed I am 3 weeks+ and I can barely believe it. I never imagined in a million years this would happen after so many years of worry about not being able to concieve. Me and my partner are over the moon!! I am very frightened about miscarriage but trying to stay positive and following all advice about rest, diet and lifestyle so fingers crossed! Just had to share my story to try and give other like me hope too.

Oh no!! Sorry I've put it cancer when I meant pcos!! That sounds like a really stupid thing to do but it's in the brain as my mum has just had surgery use to breast cancer. I can't seem to edit the post either, sorry for any confusion
