pregnancy

hi don't no if I have choose the right thread, but here goes. I had some spotting last month that lasted a day, and have had nothing since, I am getting cramps in my lower abdomen like I am about to get my period but there is nothing, taken pregnancy test but cam back negative,can someone give me any advice please
