Positive test and now negative

hope someone can help I’m going crazy, i had last period 2nd September, I track my period, my ovulation as TTC, my period didn’t arrive october  did a test and it was positive, we were over joyed, today I’m supposed to be 6 weeks + 4 and although I’ve had horrific sickness, ive had no other symptoms so to reassure myself I took another test and it came back negative, ive had no bleeding and after googling discovered a positive test can show if your menopausal , I’m 45 and my periods are normally regular, I’m due doctors tomorrow for bloods to check my HCG but I’m freaking out big time. This is test I did 2nd October (1st day of missed period)
