It's very easy to judge this story without having all the facts. Why had she waited this long to have a baby? Was it her first child? Why had she had IVF treatment? On the face of it, perhaps it was selfish, but a report in the media doesn't necessarily give you all the details. At any age the joy of having a child is a precious thing, and she can still offer the child a wonderful life and lots of love and happiness. Also, my Dad is 82 but he looks about 15 years younger than that and is very energetic and physically active, yet there are many people younger than him in care homes and unable to look after themselves. He's just driven down to Spain and France with a caravan for 3 months! So you don't know what she is like at 66. Regardless, I wish her love and happiness.
