surely if I had this jab when I was a child I would pass some of this immunity on to my baby, especially if I breast feed. Also, whooping cough is a bacterial infection therefor could be prevented be not exposing my baby to unnecessary bacteria before she has her jabs.(For example, taking her to a shopping centre at 2 days old) There are lots of other illnesses on the rise in this country because we have such an open door policy on imigration. We are vacinated as standard in this country at such an early age to wipe out such illnesses, it's a shame that other countries don't do the same.
