ivf and bmi?

I was wondering if anyone with a low bmi has had problems getting ivf on nhs? I know its says you have to between 19-30ish depending on PCT.

Problem is im naturally thin, always have been. I eat as much as my husband, but just dont put on weight easily. Therefore my bmi is below the 19 (I would need to put on nearly a stone to take my over the 19 bmi mark). Ive had full blood test for liver, thyrod etc which all came back fine - so would consider myself as healthy

I was wondering if this would prevent me from being able to ivf on the NHS.

    Dear Shaz,

dont mean to put a downer on things but as far as I am aware to do NHS treatment you do have to be within the 19-30 limit. i am the other end - but only marginally and I wasnt allowed to do NHS. My neighbour has battled with her weight and she is above the 19 just - she has been told that if at anytime through her treatment he weight drops below the BMI of 19 again she will have to discontinue treatment.

wishing you the best of luck.
