What's next after 2nd low SA?

Hi girls

We have our 2nd fertility appointment at local hospital on tues to find out the results of hubby's 2nd SA (the first was very low). Back at the 1st appointment I asked the doctor if we would be referred for ICSI if the SA came back so low again and she said yes. However, since then I have been researching (like you do!) and have seen people mention male hormone testing.

Do you think the next step will be tests on hubby to try to find what the cause of his low sperm is or will they just say do ICSI? I'm confused!!

Thanks in advance XXX

We have been referred for ICSi at Jessops and the waiting lists are short so we have had a very happy outcome today image

    hi tigerboo

firstly, dont worry!the 2nd one may be different. if not then i would imagine you will be put forward for icsi or ivf.

My husband has a low number of sperm, poor formation and poor swimmers and we are currently in the middle of ivf/icsi.

They decide on the day whether to do ivf or icsi or half and half.

    hope this helps x

    Hi,

I dont have an answer for you i am afradi but didnt want to r&r.

I would ask them at the hospital about any other options and see what they say. Make sure you have as much info from them as you need. I remember my first specialist appointment and coming out thinking I wish I had asked them.....

    Good luck
