Hi, I joined the forum when I first started trying 18 months ago. I rarely post but I do often read thoughts and experiences that I can relate to so find it supportive just reading, if that makes sense.
I've go a great GP who did a series of tests for me and OH even before we'd been tring a year. I have short cycles but long AF and never get positives on OPKs. Tests showed I didn't ovulate so got a referal. Had 1st hosp appointment in early Dec and have since had scan and more blood tests and get results at my 2nd apointment next week. Consultant did say that he might prescribe clomid at next app but did advise me to lose weight....since stopping pill I'd put on 2 stone!!
I have lost about 1/2 stone, not more unfortunately, but it does take BMI to 29...so hopefully it's enough for now?
I do hope I get Clomid as it seems to work for so many others, but I'll be so dissapointed if I don't...I feel a failure
My SIL announced she was 8wks preg last week, an accident....happy for her but can't help feeling jealous

Welcome to lttc glad uv got a gd doc who has been doing all the right things.
I start my first cycle on Clomid tomo!! I know what u mean kinda pinning my hopes on Clomid and would b gutted if it didn't work quite quick!

I'm in a similar position...although I did ovulate this cycle (first time I've had a positive opk in 2 yrs!) after using evening primrose and losing a bit of weight. I am awaiting our follow-up appt in May, to hopefully start clomid. My BMI is 32 now, so have a bit more to lose.

Thanks for the welcome! AF just came other day, not too surprised as didn't ovulate anyway. Really hope I get clomid at appointment next week!!
