    Hi Greenbean

Just wanted to try & put your mind at rest. I went to my 1st gynie appointment last wednesday having exactly the same symptoms as you! My CD21 bloods came back at 1.5 & i too have POCS.
When you go you will proberbly ask you about your cycles,( helpful if you have a rough record but dont worry if you havent!) & how often you & your OH BD. Gynie said that they see loads of people who are both fine but just dont have BD enough! They may also ask you about any symptoms your having due to POCS, like facial & body hair growth, spots , weight gain ect.
Im not sure if you will have to but my gynie also did a quick examination of me, unfortunately this did mean an internal & checking my tummy.
My gynie then arranged for me to had CD3 & CD21 bloods retested & a HSG,(think thats right), to check my tubes arent blocked, although as i concieved last year he doesnt think that this will be the case.
They may also ask if your partner would be willing to do a sample for SA.
On the whole it wasnt the dreadful experience id feared & it was reassuring to know that they are there to help. I hope this awnsers some of your questions & puts your mind at ease a little.

All the best hun, hope it goes realy well for you. xxxxxxxxxx :\)

Hi Greenbean, I think princesstar has covered all your questions about the appt....Just wanted to say good luck to you. Also, don't worry if it's not quite the same as princesstars appt as it seems to vary greatly across the country. At my 1st appt it was just information gathering about cycles etc. and no tests xx

hi both, thank you both very much, i was thinking i would be given clomid and that would be it, but i think that is far from what will happen then. i am on cd7 now so will be on cd 9 by time i see gynae. my hubby is coming with me to the app, i have asked him if he would be ok if they need to test his sa. he said if he is asked he will do what ever it takes. he is trying so hard to cheer me up bless him. i just want a baby with him so much its all i can think about. we bd all the time, except when he is on nights, we always have done tho not just cos we are ttc. i dont really have symptoms that much, i dont have a set cycle length pattern like since coming off pill. i have had 21 68 31 43 33. since may i have had af every month. i dont have acne or hair growth i am over weight but always have been, i have been trying my hardest to lose weight lost 19lbs so far, has taken me 3 months to lose that tho. it is very slow at coming off tho.
thanks for preparing me alittle, hope we all get bfp soon xxxxxxx

Greenbean, Good luck for your appointment. The girls have given you most of the info, but remember if your cycle varies every month then 21 day bloods are not the most accurate as it could be you tested on the wrong day and did actually OV.
Good luck and let us know how you get on hun,

thanks girls, the support since being on BE as been fantastic thank u. when i found out i have pcos i felt so alone, like i was the only person in the world with it, i know i wasnt but thats how i felt. but after talking to others on here in same position i know im not alone, so thank you. i will let everyone know how i got on, my appointment is at 7.30pm on tuesday will try and post as soon as i get back. the month i had my cd21 bloods done, and it said i didnt ovulate well on cd29 i had loads of ewcm which i normally dont get a lot of and my af came 14 days exactly after that ewcm. so i dont know maybe i did ov but later. i have done charting bbt last month and put temps in ff and that said i ov on cd23 but still past cd21. so maybe??? i live in hope anyway. i just bd like crazy and we are getting no where which makes me think that im not. hubby hasnt had no tests yet. no one has even mention him,

Greenbean... if your cycle was longer than 28 days then you probably did ov later. With EWCM it sounds like that probably was OV day, esp as your AF turned up 14 days later!
They will probably mention DH testing at the appt as they do like to test the man as well.
I have everything crossed for you hun!
    xx
