Blood results - could they not show everything?

just a thought..... I have my bloods done back in May and the GP said both Day 3 and Day 21 where within normal limits.... now that's fine but having had hubbies 2nd SA back and he looks ok too well why are we still trying after 4 years????

I wondered whether although my blood levels showed OK whether I could still have something like PCOS.... - here's why....

I get short AF's - 3 days max
I get spotting 2 days before AF
In the last two years I have had more spots than I ever got as a teenager (back, chest and face)
Very oily skin
also I am getting quite hairy nipples (YUCK & TMI - sorry!) they are quite dark and wirey (I keep plucking them as I don't like it!)

Now all my fertility books say that all these are symptoms BUT say that you generally get irregular periods - mine are spot on 28/29 days each month....

Anyone else had anything similar and been diagnosed with anything that could explain our lack of bump?

Hi, I have had 3 blood tests done and they all came back ok, even a really high percentage, so this was not a worry for the dr, they send me for a lap and dye which came back all ok, so at our last fertility appointment they decided to send me for folical tracking (internal scan) just to rule it out - where they discovered I have pcos, I too have very unusally periods and they said that my egg may not grow to the full size and that it may still be released (hence the good blood test) but not be mature enought to be fertilized.... I don't have any other symptoms like over weight or hair growth etc but I have had a child with spina bifida (survived to 20 weeks in the womb), then a healthy child and then a miscarriage which again are signs of pcos's... haven't be PG for 7 years now so all that was when I was 23... not sure if that helps but why not ask the GP to refer you for folical scanning then you can rule that out too or treat it if it needs to be??!! good luck lots of babydust xxx

ur symtoms are very much like mine to be honest other than the af part as mine are very irregular. None of my bloods picked up the PCOS either it was only the scan that showed this which then confirmed all my syptoms ie spots (back, face, chest :\( ) hairs on nips (pluck them to they are gross!!!) heavy irregular periods. i'd imagine u'll get referred o a fertility clinic anyway could u ask them to test if doc wont?? xxxxx
