Another 5+ weeker + spotting
Here we go again!
I'm currently 5 + 3 and started spotting overnight
I wouldn't be so worried normally, but as I've had 3 miscarriages (one pregnancy went to 12 weeks, but I began spotting at 5+ weeks that time...), I'm fearing the worst.
Really don't understand why this keeps happening! I've still got another week before I see a specialist (who may or may not order a scan - I'm in Canada at the moment and the area where I live doesn't offer scans until 18 weeks, and needs impossible convincing to do one any earlier, so I understand).
I know I'm luckier than many women who can't get pregnant at all (I get pregnant ridiculously easily, even at 34!), but this is getting SOOOOOOOOO frustrating. :?

The decision is yours, you sometimes just have to fight for it a bit harder. Go to the hospital and tell them your history and be insistant. I don't know what else to tell you other than also ask for more blood work. I know somebody who was spotting too and her doc gave her progesterone as her levels were borderline - knock on wood, everything is OK at the moment with her.
I'll be thinking of you and hope everything is OK with beanie xo
I'm in NS, and they don't do it routinely until 18 weeks here. However, my midwife has been pushing hard for me, and today she got an assurance from the specialists (the ones she's transferring me to, although they can't see me for 2 weeks) that they will order a scan at 8 weeks if I'm still pregnant then. So that's a relief, although the 2-week wait is a bit hard. If I miscarry by then, then they'll do tests anyway to see if they can uncover the reason for recurring miscarriages.
My midwife also got a progesterone prescription off them for me, but passed on their warning that it is not guaranteed to work and not proven that it will. When we went to the pharmacy, we found out it would cost $100 and as we don't have an income at the moment (our home business isn't going so well, as we're in the middle of nowhere, we're probably going to move to Toronto when we can afford it), we sadly realised it was too much money for us to pay right now
However, I did find a progesterone cream in the health food store for $20 (Wild Yam and Soy Isoflavone), so I got that instead (hey, if the specialist-approved version isn't guaranteed to work anyway, then I figured why not give the health food version a try...). From what I've read, both active ingredients are safe to use in pregnancy and are supposed to prevent miscarriage, so we'll see
