Growing up!

I've noticed a real difference in Isaac over the last few months. He really seems to be 'growing up' and maturing. We actually have less tantrums these days!

- He will now happily sit in his pushchair and not throw a huge tantrum when we put him in. He actually chooses to get into his pushchair when he's had enough of walking! Never though we'd see the day as he hated being in it before!

-There are no tantrums when we put him in his car seat before we got lots of screaming and almost impossible to get him in. He's happy to be in the car unless it's a really long journey!

-He will now hold my hand and walk next to me sometimes (major development!) and he doesn't try to run off all the time. I think he's just got used to being out and about and everything's not quite so new and exciting anymore so doesn't have to be explored immediately! So we have less tantrums when out now.

-He doesn't go near the fireplace anymore and no longer presses all the buttons on the tv and dvd player. Now he only pushes the power button when he wants it on! I guess he now knows what they do so has lost interest.

He seems much more chilled out these days, even a friend commented on it the other day. I think it helps loads that he understands more and can communicate better. The big thing though is the walking out and about, it is just so much more enjoyable these knowing he's not going to scream over being in the pushchair and staying close to us!

I will probably be eating my words in a few months when the 'terrible twos' come to visit! But i'm enjoying the new chilled and reasonable Isaac. Although he still has a very annoying habit of throwing food at the table mainly to get a 'reaction!'

Anyone else noticed their toddler 'growing up?'

Livvy is growing up so fast and no longer a baby (but like you said Bellah in my post to me..still my baby lol )

Livvy wants to everything her self which is a bit sad but she a very independent little girl image

She sits with me for ages on the sofa and we watch a bit of CBBC,have a few stories and sing songs image

I am thinking about when to put her in a bed but I do not think it will be until she after two.

Livvy is such a funny little girl and the more people laugh at what she does the more she does it.
She smiles at everyone in the street/shops etc.. and so many people say what a lovely little girl she is.

She is my little best friend image

    Gem xx

totally! evie is just such a pleasure to be with at the moment, she is at such a great age! she quite happily plays and entertains herself, or she'll come and sit with me and have a 'chat''
she too is just soooo funny, when she does something funny she put her hand over her mouth and laughs, it cracks me up!

i cant beleve she is 18 months old. in some ways its been the longest 18 months of my life but also the most amazing and special

i would be lost without her, everything i do is for her and i just keep my fingers crossed she stays so happy and carefree xxxx

Sounds like the Jan toddlers are all doing well! How did it get to 18 months? I always thought of 18 month olds as so grown up and now here we are. image

Mrsamanda, doesn't sound like Cameron's behind. Isaac still only has a handful of words at most but has his own little language so we understand him most of the time! Think boys take longer on the langauge side of things.

Isaac is mischievious too, he tries to hold our gaze when he does something he shouldn't, waiting for our reaction, and then he does it again! Gotta love um! xx
