at birth and 6 weeks...

thought i would start a thread i saw in the december forum

so ladies whats was you bundles weight and length at birth and at 6 week check x

weight 7lbs 5.5oz then 10lbs 1oz
length 50cm then 55cm

We haven't got our 6 week check until 25th Feb when Olyvia will be 9 1/2 weeks!!

I'm pretty PO'ed with my surgery (they are useless at so many things) but they only do the 6 week check clinic once a month! :roll:

Will update once we've had it though.

Oh and they never measured her length when she was born, only her HC. Apparently they don't do length anymore in a lot of hospitals. But I did measure her the other day on her tummy time mat (has cms along the edge) and I think she was around 50cm (give or take a bit for wriggling)!! Teeny tiny for 6 weeks old

We are only 16days so no 6week check yet! But at birth Flynn was 8lb 3oz and 54cm

Hi NN - If they are treating Olyvia as prem then she wouldn't have her 6 week check until she was 6 weeks corrected which would then be right for 9 1/2 uncorrected wouldn't it. At least this is what happened with my daughter, she had her 6 week check at 10 weeks old because she was born at 36 weeks.

mummypiglit - no, it is a complete coincidence! The woman didn't have any details for Olyvia and didn't ask if she was premature. They just do the clinic once a month and she was too young for January's. Not sure why they don't just do it as and when :roll:

We have ours next week but Emilia was 6lb 2oz at birth and 49cm. Goodness knows what she is now, all I know is she is running out of clothes!

lizzie was 8lb 9oz at birth and was weighed today, have 8 week check for measurements and weight in 2 weeks, but at 6 weeks exactly she now weighs 11lb 2oz!!!

At birth Arthur was 8lb 9oz he was 54 cm. he is 4 weeks now and weighs 12lb, so rather large. ha

Well, we've had our 6 week check today and at birth Sebastian weighed 6lb 9oz and was 51 cm. They didn't meaure him today so I will try and do it myself tomorrow but he's already outgrowing the baby bath! He weighed 9lb 1 today.....little fatty!

Have dug this out to update as promised now we've had Lyvi's 6 week check!

Birth - 4lb 11oz
9 weeks, 3 days - 7lb 15 1/2oz

Birth - ?
9 weeks, 3 days - 50cm

Birth - HC 31cm
9 weeks, 3 days - HC 36.5cm
