Feeling flu like .... and a little concerned

I had a sore throat this morning and my chest hurt when i breathed in. Throat has got so bad, chest tender and now i feel so cold and everywhere hurts. Iv had paracetomol and am going to go to bed and hope its nothing serious but something is playing on my mind. When i saw the midwife yday she said "have you had any bleeding or flu like symptoms?" and of course i said no. Now im wondering why she would ask me about flu like symptoms?? I dont want to google it cos il end up scaring myself but if anyone knows id like to hear. If i still feel rough tomorrow il get myself checked over but iv never had flu so am hoping its just a bad throat, maybe an infection and thats why i feel rough.
