Seen consultant today
My dd was born at 30+3 by emcs, due to pre-eclampsia, so I am classed as high risk this time. I had my first appointment at the hospital this morning. I was there for 2 hours and saw 5 different people. Nurse, midwife, consultant, another consultant, phlebotomist.
Thankfully, I don't have to go back until 23 weeks, when I will have a scan on my uterus/placenta, which can tell them whether or not I am likely to get pre-eclampsia again. The results of that scan will determine how often I will have to be seen for the rest of the pregnancy.
