Can't sleep.....!!

I'm due at the doctors shortly to have my copper coil removed so my husband and I can start to try for our first baby. I know there are no hard and fast rules as to how long it can take BUT is there anyone on here who can advise how long it took them? Also - I don't know what all these abbreviations and initials mean - can someone enlighten me. I'm such a novice! Lol.

Not able to sleep because of nervous excitement. This is THE biggest and scariest decision I've ever had to make and now the day's here to set the ball rolling and I've got unbelievable butterflies (and have had all night long)!!

Many thanks and sorry about all these questions.....any info re getting pregnant after the coil would be greatly appreciated though!!:\)
