Cycle help please...

Ok, so i started af yesterday so i call that cd1? I'm gonna use ovulations sticks from day 10. Once i get the LH surge indicator do i assume i'm ovulationg the following day, so take that day as ovulation and then count the day after as 1dpo? Then am i supposed to wait 2 weeks from then before i do a test?

It's my first proper af since coming off the pill so just want to work it all out now.
