Could I be pregnant?
Hi I've been on the cilest pill for about 7 years, and recently me and my partner have decided to try for a baby. Back in February I took my pills as normal then obviously during my week to bleed i would not continue to take my pill so as normal now apart from I'm not taking my pill, then when my period was due last month (march) I was actually late for my period by 4-5 days I've done 3 pregnancy tests and they're all NEGATIVE. And now the same thing this month but only difference is the last time I came on by the Tuesday and its Tuesday today and there's still no sign of pregnancy... I did a 4th test 2 days ago and tha was also NEGATIVE. Even tho I've done 4 tests that have come bk negative could I still be pregnant?? Sorry for long post! Aha x

I done a test at 9DPO, 5 days before expected period (16 April), however the line is very faint and I am unsure if this is a positive, can anyone help.
I think it's very common to think you are pregnant when coming off the pill. The symptoms are all the same because essentially at both times your hormones are re adjusting.
It sounds very much how I felt when I stopped taking my pill a few years back. You get your hopes up but nature can be pretty cruel.
I would stop taking tests for now and see if your cycle settles down a bit first. I would at leay get trough the first three months.
Tiger - I think your test is encouraging but maybe test in a couple more days first thing in the mornin to be sure. Good luck!
Hi Jessiejames2013 i was on cilest for 16 years and stopped at the end of January. My first cycle was 35 days and my period was alot lighter than it ever has been - 2 days medium-light and then just spotting for 3 days. The next cycle was 30 days (period a little heavier but for the same length) and this months look like it will be even shorter (maybe 27-28 days).
I have been doing bbt which i would really recomend. I did this as my doctor said that there is no way of knowing how long your body will take to get back to normal and that even if i dont get a period i may still ovulate and get pregnant. So i thought well how the hell am i going to know whats going on!
So i used bbt as a way of tracking my cycles and checking if i do ovulate. I can now see when i have ovulated and also now know that 14 days after ov i get my af. Which eases the stress a little as i have proper dates to work with.
In the first 2 months i lost loads of hair and my skin went awful! This has now begun to stop and im feeling a bit more normal. Last month i also has 2 terrible weeks after ov - constipated, constant cramping, weeing more, wind, tossing and turning in the night -loads of symptoms that i have never had before so i really though i was pg. But 14 days later af arrived and bfn.
So i have realised that my body is still adjusting to the massive shift in hormones after being on the pill for so long. I have fingers crossed for this month as im starting to feel much more normal in myself but trying not to get my hopes up.
Hope i was able to help a little x
