Pregnancy vs periods

I know I’m supposed to take the frer 5 days before missed period but I’m TTC (trying to conceive) and i kept having weird cramps 4-6th day post ovulation. (I used ovulation detector) so i took the test 6 dpo and it was negative. My husband and i live apart and its really hard to meet on the day im actually ovulating. Another thing is we are going on a beach vacation 12/29 and my expected date of period is 30th!!!! I plan to take norethindrone to delay the periods but what im in pregnant. I really want to be pregnant though im so confused im going crazy searching about this for the last 1 week
