Frequency of intercourse

My husband and I, now that we’ve been tested, know that he has a good sperm count and I have a good egg count. Prior to our testing, it was mentioned to us by a OB/GYN we should have intercourse every other day. My husband has taken this quite literally and gets frustrated when I attempt to have it during high fertility time outside of the "instructions from doctor", let’s say 35 hours after the previous time, instead of 48. Does that really make a difference? Sometimes I would like to have it daily or sometimes every other day during this time, but I don’t think once a day vs once every two days or every 35 hours would make a difference in two healthy people?  Now that's it's been confirmed his count is fine. PS reason we;ve been trying so long is I had a blockage i didn't know about it.
