Illness affect sleep?

Hi my baby has croup for over a week now - he will not take his 7pm last milk of the day feed and wakes up in the night screaming but still won't take it then? Do you think this is because he is ill? Has anyone else had similiar? He is usually such a good sleeper and goes down at 7pm and wakes around 6am ish - thanks xx

awww bless.... him my daughter used to get croup alot its so horrible...I thought its only supposed to last 4/5days it did generally with my daughter may be its worth a trip to the doctors to get his chest checked -make sure its all clear??
I know its generally worse at night this could be a reason for not taking milk and waking in the night- but sorry dont really know what else to suggest...hope he gets well soon shay X
