So many toys, nowhere to put them!

Hi all

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas! We had a lovely time, very relaxed - Daisy had loads of toys, although I think she was quite oblivious to it all

So, now I need some help to find a toybox to keep in the lounge.. We have a huge dog who sheds hair ALL the time (I hate it!) so I need a box with a lid, however, if it's a hard box, I don't want it to have a lid which just goes up - it would have to come off completely to avoid body parts getting trapped!

I've been searching the internet, but can't find anything at the moment - can anyone help?!

ive replied once but stoopid be couldnt create gap in tree :roll: so ill try again

i said ...hey mrs buttons we have the same problem sooo many toys ...i would like a big wooden chest for the living room but i see what u mean about body parts getting stuck soooo we have a big plastic toy box with a clip on lid from tesco ...although its plastic its very sturdy and reasonably priced

..im sure i said more but cant remember ...stoopid be xxxxxx

We bought a large chest before lo arrived, we obviously didn't have our parenting heads on because it has a very heavy lid. We keep it in our bedroom and have a medium sized wicker basket in the living room with 4 or 5 toys in, it's open so he can get them out himself then every few days I swap the toys so he doesn't get overloaded with them all at once or too board with them.

Have a look on dunelm, they've got all sorts of chests, boxes etc xx

I've just bought this today to store isla's toys......don't know if it was the kind of thing you were after, but it is lidded and wouldn't hurt lo's fingers if the lid was to fall on top of them.

I got it from dunelm mill and it cost ??29.99

I got this from Tesco, reduced to ??20 from ??40. It's a good size (50x50x45), no frills but all I wanted was somewhere to stick all the bits of plastic crap at the end of the day. Also if you have a Tesco store near you you can order it to have it picked up from there for free.

Quality-wise, I'd say it's definitely worth ??20 but not ??40 - it's just untreated soft pine.

PS Despite the picture, the lid isn't hinged - it comes off completely.
