I wouldn't bother with the double-layer ones from Mothercare, the extra layer just seemd to get in the way to me, I usually ended up just taking my top off! (at home obviously). I found the ones with a sort of V-neck with a panel behind best, you pull the V to one side and either lift the panel or it has holes in it - I had one from Next, one from H&M and a couple from Blooming Marvellous (in the sale!).
    Something like this:

Think I'll get some drop-front vests next time.

I bought a feeding dress from www.milkbug.co.uk, and it's served me well for three christenings. www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk also do some feeding dresses, but haven't looked at them for a while so don't know if there are any nice ones.

The best place I have found for more reasonably priced fashionable feeding clothes is

    http://www.mamaway.co.uk

They have an ebay shop too.

Another option would be to buy a nursing cover so you can still wear most of your previous tops (won't work for dresses though...!!)
