confused about maternity pay

My maternity leave offically starts from Saturday and I have just been paid my first wages on materniyt leave but very confused! I was under the impression that I would get 90% of my wage for 6 weeks and then I would be on the basic smp after that ( my company dont offer anything extra!)

However, I seem to have been paid more than i thought! It looks as though they have paid me the 90% and the SMP money. Is this correct?

    You should only have received the 90% and not both. I would question it as they could ask for the some of it back. Alternatively put the smp portion away and if they ask for it you can pay it and if they don't you are quids in.
