19month old needs a flu jab ???!???

hi everyone I’m just looking for some advice or anyone’s experience, my little boy whos 19months nearly has been flagged up to have a flu jab ... he suffers with asthma like symptoms but of course they cannot diagnose it until hes older. He’s had about 5/6 ear infection and is constantly wheezing and coughing so I can understand why they’ve recommend it but I just thought he was so young to have one ... has anyone else’s toddler had a flu jab ?
