abbreviations

Hi I'm new to all this and am doing this for my daughter who is dyslexic, maybe it's my age (50) but I find a lot of things like AF, and TTC and have no idea what they mean, please can someone let me know what all the abbreviations are.......horrible when you get old!!!!lol

    Hi Mandy,

    Abbreviations are commonly used throughout parenting websites, if unsure about any then you can normally ask the original poster (OP) what they mean as everyone is very friendly.  There is a page on here somewhere about "abbreviations for newbies" but some of the more common ones are -

    AF - Aunt Flo (nickname for your period/may also see "the witch")

    TTC - Trying To Conceive

    LTTC - Longterm Trying To Conceive

    DTD/BD - Sexual Intercourse

    DH - Dearest/Darling Husband

    DS - Dearest/Darling Son

    DD - Dearest/Darling Daughter

    OH - Other Half

    VBAC - Vaginal Birth After Caesarian

    DPO - Days Past Ovulation

    2WW - Two Weeks Wait Before Testing

    HPT - Home Pregnancy Test

    BFP - Big Fat Positive

    BFN - Big Fat Negative
