how do you deal with

constipation in a 4 year old. She has never had this before and the chemist said she wont give me anything and to leave it a few more days its been four days already and she is in loads of pain. She is saynig her bum has no energy, bless

    Lactolose can be used on children as young as 1 to help with constipation.

    Also eating pears and drinking lots of pure orange juice, and water of course.

    Kiwi's are a good source of fibre too, if she'll eat them.

    You can gat Califig off the shelf in Boots.We had to use it for a while when my son was 2,then when my daughter was 7 for a bit.It's safe from 1.It has what dose at what age on the back.If she's in pain give her calpol.Go see a GP if it goes on.We left it too long with my daughter and ended up having to use suppositary laxatives.You don't even want to go there.Hope she's better soon.

    hi ladies, new chemist was far more helpful. She bounced in to the living room about 5 minutes ago screaming she had had a poo. When I checked the thing was tiny but at least it is moving slowly but surely hahahaha
