First scan at 16 weeks - is that right?

Hi girls!

just been to my first appointment with a nurse to basically check I’m pregnant. Now I’ve got an appointment with the doc on 11th December (I’m about 6 weeks now). She said I get my first scan about 16 weeks?!? Is that right? 

Also i mentioned to her about my partners nephew having prada willi syndome and she said they may offer me an earlier scan.

    I'd say it's very late! I'd call hospital maternity unit and talk to midwifes there. It should be at 12 weeks
