I'm not sure if they're safe - but the leaflet inside should say if they are/aren't.
Alternatively you could call your local GP or if you've already had your booking appointment (assuming you're UK) then you should have a booklet with the local midwife unit number. It wouldn't be unreasonable to call them and ask their advice if you're unsure.
Hi I suffered horribly with both mine and I used them all (not at once lol) my midwife actually gave me a prescription for them because it was horrendous. I couldn't of gone through both my pregnancies without them x
