What are your opinions on pushchairs?

Hi! I’m a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Glasgow working as part of a team currently designing an electrically powered pushchair, and I’m looking for some input from past, present and future parents to aid us in our design. Our pram would contain a drive system which would power the pram without any effort from the parents pushing. It would still be under control of the parent for steering, and would have an inbuilt safety system to prevent the pram running away from the parent. We believe this would be especially helpful for long journeys, uphill sections and for persons who are unable to push a heavy pram for medical reasons. We are interested in hearing the opinions of parents and would-be parents, specifically whether you like this idea, and if you have any other problems or suggestions about pushchair design which you would like to tell us about. Please reply with all of your input below, or even better, complete a survey we have produced here: http://boofonthis.com/phpESP/public/survey.php?name=parents Thanks for your help,Paul
