conceiving

hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I was wondering wether the date they gave you at your scan is roughly the date you conveived give or take a few days? Im nearly 32 weeks pregnant and the date takes me back to the 9th of may. Could the dates be out a couple of weeks or is it quite exact round about the time you conceived?
