IVF babies are 'synthetic children' say Dolce & Gabbana. What do you think of Elton John's response?

We're wondering what you think of the explosive A-list spat about IVF and same-sex families between Sir Elton John and fashion designers Dolce & Gabbana – so explosive that it's already led to #BoycottDolceGabbana trending worldwide on Twitter.
It all started when Dolce & Gabbana were quoted in the Italian magazine Panorama as saying: "The only family is the traditional one.
"No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed."
And Domenico Dolce went on to add: "You are born to a mother and a father – or at least that's how it should be.
"I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Rented uterus, semen chosen from a catalogue."
Elton John, who has two children with his husband David Furnish, took to Instagram to voice his anger at the designer duo's words.
"How dare you refer to my beautiful children as 'synthetic'," Elton posted.
"And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF - a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children.
"Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions.
"I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana."
Many other celebs, including Victoria Beckham and Courtney Love Cobain, have tweeted their support for Elton's lead.

I say good on him! The comments by Dolce & Gabanna made me really angry (so I can imagine how livid Elton John would have been). They were arrogant, ignorant and sweeping. Everyone may be entitled to their own opinions..but to make those kind of statements in a magazine?!..you are asking for a backlash as you are insulting so many people...and more fool them as they have riled an A-lister and been thrust into the media spotlight! I am interested to see how this will play out with regards the boycott...

I agree with him on this point at least. Humans should never be referred to as synthetic,it's an absurd comment to make no doubt flippently and without thought to how it could offend. Not everyone is brought into the world in the same way and that's the society in which we all live in now days.Times have changed and unfortunately attitudes don't change as quick. Let's hope D&G have learnt their lesson...or at least been hit in the profit stakes!
