Kitchen glass splashback question

Hello, all!

I am planning to renovate my kitchen but I have a dilemma. Should I go with kitchen tile like this one http://www.elledecor.com/design-decorate/room-ideas/a10328869/mini-subway-tiles/ or should I go with coloured glass splashback like this https://mycolourglass.co.uk/ideas-for-kitchen-glass-splashbacks/ ?

A lot of people said that glass splashbacks are a nightmare to clean so I am really not sure about it. The kitchen tiles like the ones from Elle I love but I am not sure if they are too old fashion now. 

Anyone with experience with glass splashbacks please give me an advice.
