Missed period day after starting pill

Hi I usually have regular periods (every 28 days) and I started taking the mini pill on the 14th of May. I was due on the next day but still haven’t come on. I know the pill can stop periods but wasn’t sure if it could stop it after only taking one pill? Or am I wrong?
